DREAMING DEAD Bringing Metal To The Masses

May 14, 2009

Los Angeles thrash/death metal act DREAMING DEAD will invade the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, California on Sunday, June 14 for the 31st annual Harmony Festival where they'll share the stage with a wildly diverse collection of acts.

With a history dating back to 1978, the Harmony Festival has a longtime tradition of bringing artists, musicians, speakers, vendors and various other performers who share a common desire to promote global well-being. This year's festival will see performances from the likes of KITARO, MICHAEL FRANTI & SPEARHEAD, INDIA.ARIE and many others.

DREAMING DEAD guitarist/vocalist Elizabeth Schall had this to say about the band's inclusion on the Eco Cup Stage: "We are extremely excited about the 31st annual Harmony Festival 2009, our first one-hour, open air performance at such a large venue that holds 7,000 people, alongside such big acts as BAD BRAINS, DEAD KENNEDYS, CAKE, etc. And as strong supporters of the well being of our planet it's an honor for us to be part of such a worthy cause that helps promote 'music, art, ecology, healthy living & spirituality...from the roots.'

"On another note, and as the only extreme metal band on the bill, it will be interesting to see the reaction of these folks with our performance, which will include the entire 'Within One' album plus some of our new material! Whatever the case, we will work very hard to bring the best of ourselves and our music! So if you're in town, make sure to come out for a great time."
